Medical Fitness Practitioner

Meghan Cox, MFS, OFS, JRFS, PTS, FIS

Medical fitness executes a prescription of exercise for managing chronic health concerns like heart health, diabetes, cancer diagnosis, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, post physio fitness, independent aging and more.

We work with your health care team to develop a plan based on your medical needs and physical capabilities.

Medical fitness is usually one-on-one private sessions with the medical fitness provider and the client,  but we also offer small group medical fitness programs geared toward a specific population.

 

 

Meghan has been a certified Personal Trainer since 2003 and upgraded her education to become a certified Medical Fitness Practitioner in 2022. She completed specialty training in Osteoporosis Fitness (2023), BONE FIT Canada (2025), as well as Joint Replacement Fitness (2024) and also works directly with with a local physiotherapist to provide treatment plans for clients and their specific medical fitness needs. Some services may be covered by private insurance benefits.
